Happy Halloween everyone! We had so much fun today! Natalie went to school and they had a Halloween party there. She got to wear a costume there. She was a baker. Very cute. Then we went trick or treating with Steph and her kiddos. Natalie was a pirate, Madison was a princess, and Allison was Little Bo Peep :) Very very cute. It was a good night. Jeremy was able to take the night off and joined us. Natalie of course loved every minute of that. She is quite the daddy's girl. I'm not sure what the future holds for the Hand family, but Jeremy and I are finally able to talk again. It's been a very long rough road... and it's nice that we are able to START the road to a friendship again. It will be a long road for that as well, but I'm glad that it's starting to happen.
This week has been pretty long. Some sad news hit the valley a few days ago. A Phoenix PD office was killed by an illegal drunk driver. His wife is someone I knew growing up. (Her family was in my parents ward). They have a little 3 month old daughter. My thoughts have been with her all week...... I just can't imagine what she must be going through right now. It makes me VERY thankful for the sacrifice that local officers make to make sure we are all kept safe. The spouses and families of those officers make that very same sacrifice.
